Inside the barrel is a “governor” that is positioned at the sweet spot to stop the barrel from flexing past the performance limit. Precise positioning of iD within the barrel also extends the sweet spot over a much larger area. The new X-1 high grade composite material will technically exceed the ball exit speed ratio of 98 mph allowed by ASA until the governor is placed in the barrel. The concept is unheard of in the softball world and will provide the hottest fastpitch softball bats on the market. With the governor in place the Catalyst will perform at the maximum allowed 98 mph ball exit speed ratio. The balanced swing weight and rolled end cap provides added comfort and feel to every swing.
