Mfg Code: 2022
Product Name: Schutt 2022 - DNA Pro 2 Football Helmet
First introduced in 2003, and superior to traditional foam padding providing better impact absorption, better heat management and better hygienics. It's highly resistant to mold, mildew, fungus and bacteria, while providing a barrier against MRSA and staph concerns.
TPU Cushioning System
Schutt introduced Thermoplastic Urethane (TPU) Cushioning to football in 2003, with the advent of the DNA Pro. Six years later, now in its third generation, TPU Cushioning remains the best performing padding system in football today. In game-like conditions, the DNA Pro+ outperform all the other helmets on the field. It’s proven superior to traditional foam padding in game-like conditions: better impact absorption, better heat management and better hygienics. TPU Cushioning won’t take a compression set, won’t break down (even after thousands of impacts) and is resistant to mold, mildew, fungus and bacteria while providing a barrier against MRSA and staph concern.
Tests Don’t Lie
In head-to-head testing at 105 degree by an independent research lab the TPU cushioning inside the DNA Pro + dramatically out performed the foam cushioning in both the Riddell Speed and Revolution. In fact, the Riddell Speed absorbed 24% less impact than the DNA Pro + while the Riddell Revolution absorbed 44% less impact than the DNA Pro +.
-Riddell Speed: 24% less impact than the DNA Pro +
-Riddell Revolution: 44% less impact than the DNA Pro +

WARNING: Keep your head up. Do not butt, ram, spear, or strike an opponent with any part of this helmet or faceguard. This is a violation of football rules and may cause you to suffer severe brain or neck injury, including paralysis or death and possible injury to your opponent. Contact in football may result in Concussion/Brain injury which no helmet can prevent. Symptoms include: loss of consciousness or memory, dizziness, headache, nausea, or confusion. If you have symptoms, immediately stop and report them to your coach, trainer, and parents. Do not return to a game or contact until all symptoms are gone and you receive medical clearance. Ignoring this warning may lead to another and more serious or fatal brain injury. NO HELMET SYSTEM CAN PROTECT YOU FROM SERIOUS BRAIN AND/OR NECK INJURIES INCLUDING PARALYSIS OR DEATH. TO AVOID THESE RISKS, DO NOT ENGAGE IN THE SPORT OF FOOTBALL.

Better Impact Absorption
SUREFIT Air Liner
The two-piece air liner is the secret behind the fit and comfort of our helmets. With two inflation ports, the SUREFIT™ Air Liner gives you a precise custom fit and is made from a soft, but durable anti-microbial material.
Valve Attachment System
This new hook and loop attachment system locks the inflation valves into place. There’s no more struggling to keep the valve aligned to the helmet shell.
Quarter Turn Release
Available as an optional accessory the all-new attachment system for faceguards! The faceguard is locked into place but – if needed – a simple quarter turn releases the faceguard! Swift and easy access in an injury situation.
The Ultimate Helmet deserves the Ultimate Faceguard! Titanium faceguards are nearly 50% lighter than normal faceguards and stronger than stainless steel! Now, thanks to the all-new Ti-JXT Technology from Schutt, titanium faceguards for the DNA Pro+™ are more affordable than ever.
Oversized Ventilation Holes
Iconic, dart-shaped large ventilation holes in the crown maximize air flow.
In game-like conditions, when the temperature inside your helmet can rise in excess of 115°, the performance of TPU Cushioning remains consistent. Traditional foam padding, on the other hand, performs worse. And adaptive, air-filled pockets? Not even in the same ball park.
Better Heat Management
Keeping cool and fresh on the field is at the top of every player’s list. The open-air sides of TPU Cushioning, along with the channels weaving in and out throughout the cushion, do a great job of circulating air throughout the interior of the helmet. Traditional foam padding, however, is like wrapping a blanket of insulation around your head. Restrictive black bonnets don’t do very much for keeping you cool either.
TPU Cushioning is virtually impervious to mold, mildew, fungus and bacteria. Traditional foam padding, on the other hand, can be a breeding ground for all kinds of nasty stuff. No matter how well you maintain helmets with foam padding, they can become infested and need to be replaced. With the TPU Cushioning in your helmet, that’s no longer a concern.
Unlike traditional foam padding, TPU Cushioning is ready to wear (comfortably) right out of the box. There’s no breaking-in period, like you have with foam. TPU Cushioning doesn’t take a compression set like traditional foam padding. Nor does TPU break down like foam – even after thousands of impacts.
AiR Maxx (TPU) Jaw Pad
Available as an optional accessory the AiR Maxx TPU Jaw Pad! The same great protection in the rest of your helmet is now available in an all-new jaw pad! The AiR Maxx Jaw Pad, available exclusively from Schutt, is a TPU jaw pad that combines the comfort and fit of a soft, vinyl-covered pad with the better protection of TPU Cushioning.
